This website allows students to learn their letters and sounds.  It is also a good site for decoding practice and beginning readers.

 

www.scholastic.com – For grades K-5

Review books or read reviews of books.  The site also contains blogs where students can discuss or ask questions to other kids about books they’re reading.  The site also has some book activities.
